pros and cons

About a month ago, I discovered that Iowa has an annual anime convention. On a whim, we decided to go. We have a hotel room booked (not at the con hotel itself unfortunately; those rooms are best reserved months in advance), and our registrations paid. It’s only going to be me and Sam at the con itself - Charlotte’s a wee bit wee right now, so we figured it’d be a waste paying another full registration if Amy won’t really be able to explore the con.

It’ll be my first time to an anime convention, although I’m certainly experienced in the way of the con (Portmeiricon and Games Day, for example). But is Sam ready for three days in Des Moines surrounded by people dressed up as anime and game characters? Am I?

Actually, if there’d have been more time and more funds available, we’d have dressed up too. Yes. Cosplayed. I have seen that line, and crossed, nay JUMPED, all over it.

getting back on the horse

I suppose I should start writing here again, shouldn’t I? I mean, I’ve been doing this for five years, it seems a shame to give up now. Especially when Amy is actually updating her blog - but seriously, Xanga?! What the hell? Like you don’t have a perfectly good websitelogspace already?

I guess the main reason I haven’t been posting anything is that I’ve been more active on various forums, and basically that means I’ve already said what I needed to say.

nell

Maybe I should use this space then for talking about things I wouldn’t want people on the other forums knowing, like my unhealthy obsession with Nell from Advance Wars? Then again, that subject matter probably fits in all three forums..
