I’m working in fingerless gloves because it’s so cold up here, and my poor circulation means my typing slows to a crawl.

With this new fashion statement, I feel like I should be in Hackers.

are you ready to.. ..rock?

We went to see School of Rock this evening. It’s a bit of a drive to see a movie when it’s not playing locally, which is a real pain for Amy, but I think it was worth it. A very funny, simple movie with absolutely zero surprises but it was well executed. Damn those kids are good. I get jealous whenever I see a child musician, but then again they probably can’t program. What’s really depressing is that they probably can. Sam seemed to be infused with the POWER OF ROCK from the movie, maybe he’ll become famous and I can live vicariously through him.

This prompted a discussion on the way home on whether I like rock or not. While I mainly listen to dance/electronic music, I’ve always maintained that I like really good rock songs, it’s just that what gets called rock and what I think is really rock are quite different. I like anything that has passion in it really, or sometimes just anything that’s really LOUD or ANGRY or just FUN. So there’s plenty classic rock that fits the bill. I just don’t like songs. I love music, I just blank out lyrics.

time to dddddduel

Okay, so I’m officially into Yu-Gi-Oh! now. Shut up. You’ll hear more about it.

Like 99% of everything that makes its way across the Pacific, it’s been butchered to appease certain groups, although there are still plenty of people who think the cards are going to make their kids into Beelzebub or something. I mean, they put clothing on The Emperor’s New Clothes? And the fisherman is using.. well, some sort of ball thing instead of a spear? What does he do, pound them to death really quickly when they jump out of the water?

fly away home

Work work work. So that explains the lack of posting.

Now onto annoyances. I’m sick of these Asian ladybugs that cover this area. The weather got warm today and they were out in force. I’m talking a cloud of the little buggers outside, and inside there were dozens.

At least they’re not grasshoppers.
