he came bahk

We watched Terminator 3 last night. My simple review - I thought it was a goofy fun summer action movie. I liked it.

T1 > T3 > T2

Oh yeah, there are spoilers in the fansite I linked, if you care about that sort of thing.

secret arts: rock-splitting post

This isn’t funny, but it tries.

On the subject of Love Hina, anyone else think that Naru is a bit of a bitch and Keitaro would be better off with Mutsumi? Oh wait, look.

fooly cooly!

FLCL is quite possibly the strangest show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen some pretty weird stuff. Without giving too much away, it’s the story of a young boy struggling with adolesence and the supposed adults in his life. Bizarre, huh?

Oh yeah, giant robots sprout out of his forehead.

Featuring the most frenetic animation this side of an Eastern European art short, and spoofing styles from Lupin to South Park, it makes a good change to the usual anime I watch involving high school romances and/or magical girls.

we can dance if we want to

If you’re anything like me, you often find yourself thinking “You know, Tetris is a great game, but it would be so much better with hats”.

I give you salvation.

judas

The Kewell affair is a particularly nasty one, even for Leeds fans used to dealing with crap over the last year. I don’t want to dwell on my opinion of Kewell and his agent, except to say I hope one of them breaks his legs and the other has his poufy hair set on fire.

But something has to be done to address the Bosman ruling. It was set up to protect players from not being allowed to leave, but the situation now is that players like Kewell can hold their club to ransom and demand money or they’ll “walk on a Bosman”. Perhaps it should only apply to players whose contract payments are lower than a certain amount. Perhaps the contracts themselves need to be tightened. Perhaps football clubs shouldn’t be run by people who will allow themselves to get into situations where they are paying a player’s salary even after he has left the club.

work it to the bone bone bone

So very busy. Getting things finished up for a release is always the busiest period at work, so all my time has gone to that. And I’ve not been sleeping enough either so I have to work twice as hard to stay awake..

Anyway, time to make a few posts so that it doesn’t look like I’m dead.
