Wow, I’ve either been busy or had nothing to post. It’s been Sam’s birthday week, and that went off well. Ended up spending way too much money again, as usual. Well, is that really so wrong? Would it be better if we spent it on booze or something? No, you should be spending money on your kids.
Once again I paid collectors’ prices for toys that would surprise him - in this case, a set of Ranma 1/2 gashapon, which went down well. I also picked up a set of Azumanga Daioh gashapon that were originally going to decorate my desk, but then Sam said he liked them so I let him have them instead.

Seeing these gashapon though, my interest in trying my hand at some model figure painting has been rekindled.. it’s just hard to find a decent kit that doesn’t have the character with huge breasts and a tiny bikini. Not that I have any real problem with that personally, I just think it would be sending the wrong message if I had such a figure gracing my desktop. Plus it’s hard to get non-bootleg kits at a reasonable price, and I really don’t like the thought of lining the pockets of bootleggers.
