introducing..

And introducing the newest member of the Windmill household, Cocoa:

cocoa t. dog

She’s such a sweet thing, and looks nothing like she does in her photo on petfinder.org. Which I hated. And thought she looked retarded.

But I was wrong! Awwwwww!

blame canada

I’m thinking of taping this program daily and using it as punishment if Sam misbehaves. My favorite part is when she sets fire to her Bible.

oh dear oh dear

Being a homeschooling parent, I’m of course open to parenting methods that may seem a little different, but this just seems like very bad thinking.

In fact, this exact situation is what people the rest of the world over point to the US and snicker about. No, really, they do.

So I just read “Vulgarisation of Tangent Space calculation for triangle based mesh”.

And came up with my own version, inside.

holy shit

Whether you’re a Gamespot Complete member or not, if you have a pulse and a remote interest in games, you’ve seen these Half-Life 2 movies by now. (And if you haven’t, you need to spend some time on any of the popular gamesite forums..)

Holy shit.

Really. Holy shit.

It’s not that the graphics are particularly flashy, though they look excellent. It’s the little things that you can see, like magnifying glasses actually magnifying, the camera being thrown around in the tech demo, the physics working with everything.. it’s just.. wow.

I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a game. The only reason it’s not on pre-order is that I’m too lazy to go get the debit card.

musik makes the people come together

Of course, don’t forget one of the other projects I’m working on, Musik, an open source music library player thingy. Which is why the “tunage” thing above hasn’t been updated in forever, Musik has been my main player for ages now and we haven’t added such a feature to it yet.
