docktor docktor

Okay, ObjectDock is great. Casey apparently told me about it ages ago and I apparently dismissed it, but perhaps that’s just because I was tired of Windows customization tools or just didn’t think that a ripoff of the Aqua dock could be any good.

Well, it is good, and comes pretty close to the real thing. This, combined with Geoshell gives me a nice uncluttered desktop without losing any functionality.

toothless agression

So I finally got the other chunk of tooth out (bet you’re sorry you read this before eating now, aren’t you?) after it started wobbling this week.

The tooth split ages ago, after the filling came out, or was removed, I forget. So right then, there was no way for it to be pulled, it’d have just broken to bits. Of course that’s what it has done anyway, so.. My main concern is that my gum will grow over the remaining fragments, causing me big problems. But unless you want to pay my dental bill, I can’t do anything about it.

Ironically, this tooth should have been removed a couple of years ago, but the dentist did the wrong one. Well, he did the one I indicated - I just picked the wrong one I guess.

export business

So I finally got a mesh exported for TGE that uses sequences. Here’s an example - but for some reason it’s 2 feet off the ground. And faces the wrong way when running.

But still. Progress!

I am MASTER OF THE ORB!

Really busy again, so posts are down, but I have found something that really tests my resolve to work instead of goof off: Orbz.

It’s the first real 3rd-party game using the Torque engine, and it’s excellent. Well, the demo is - I’m afraid to buy it (at the low, low price of 15 bucks) because I don’t think I’d ever get any work done again.

oooOOoooOOOooOOooo

Goth site checklist:

* Dark background
* Picture of site owner in graveyard
* The word “Azrael” somewhere
* Artwork showing one’s dark and tortured soul
* The page should be titled “Silly Rabbit”.

I wasn’t sure about that last one either, but then I found The Forest of Time Abandoned.

vrmm vrmm

I wonder if the Sinclair C5 would have been a better seller had it been more like the Be Up?

resident craziness

I’ve really been lax on posting links to things here. Which is pretty bad, for a weblog.

But I give you Biohazerd, a.. uh.. interpretation of the game Resident Evil. It’s 20mb. Enjoy.

Update:
Well, no I don’t, because currently the link is bad. Damn it. Okay, what about this? A couple of old Zelda commercials.

rollover

So, a new year.

2002 wasn’t terrible for me. 2001 was a period of great change, 2002 was a rebuilding period. I have high hopes for 2003 - I think we have a better defined plan now than “we’ll see what happens”.

Had a quiet night, as usual. We saw what happens in Animal Crossing - I think this is the first year I’ve done the countdown with a videogame. And this was the first time Sam attempted to stay up til midnight - and he made it.

Also, I got them to eat calamari.
