As usual, Apple’s latest makes me sick with desire. Interesting that they only offer dual-processor PowerMacs now - if you want a single G4, you’d have to get an iMac, eMac, or TiBook.

Yeah, I don’t post for a week and come back with this, via Terry.

Now this is the double whammy of cool 3D stuff. HijackGL sits between an application and OpenGL, intercepting GL calls. This means you can render any OpenGL app with NPR, for example, but it also includes a “3D screenshot” utility - hit Scoll Lock and a Wavefront .obj mesh will be saved of whatever is being rendered.

I just discovered Galaxy 105 does streaming radio, so now I have something else to listen to while I work all day.

..and then we look at the big leagues and we’re given an Un-American angle. Really guys, it’s stupid, insulting, and backs the characters into a corner. Is this going to be some sickening build-up until September and then we’ll have the Un-Americans soundly defeated in a pathetic display of chest-thumping? Where do Test, Lance Storm, and Christian go then? The next night on Raw, do they come out and say they’re sorry?
On second thoughts, this is wrestling. Crowds are fickle. We’ll probably be cheering them by Christmas.

Wrestling as pantomime. Nowhere is this more evident than in a local independent wrestling show, which is where we spent our Friday night.
“Kossuth County Karnage” (lucky they didn’t go for Kounty.. unfortunate acronymn) was great fun, and we shouted ourselves hoarse. Sam’s head looked like it would explode when TS Agressor - injured while defending his title (aka “playing volleyball”) - came out with his championship belt, and the grin on his face after getting Johny Fitness‘ autograph was impressive.
I was really surprised at how good a show they put on. We’ve watched indy stuff before (not live mind you) and it’s usually a parade of kids who don’t seem to have progressed that far from their backyard trampoline shenanigans, but this was really well done. A couple of missed spots here and there, but that happens at any level. The three hours of entertainment was well worth the 6 dollar ticket price.

“Poison’s Rikki Rockett” and “cool” do not usually end up together in any sentences I utter, but seriously, this MeFi post points to some creative stuff.
I thought Rock Stars were supposed to leave hotel toilets looking like this?

leech is good to go for all you file suckers.. I’ve tested it on Windows and OS X, if you’re running Mozilla on another platform, please try it and let me know of any problems. Well, try it even if you’re using Windows or OS X.
BECAUSE IT ROCKS YOUR WORLD.
(assuming your world is all about downloading files from webpages)

Haven’t really had much to post about, my web travels have been limited to techy reference stuff really. I have been doing a bit of work on the website though - you should see a favicon up there in the address bar (or tab if you’re using Mozilla, LIKE YOU SHOULD BE), and I put up the old toon up pro gallery that was linked to for a Paul Heckbert class as I mentioned.
I also got started on my leech project over at mozdev - I still have to get the add-on itself packaged up nicely and available for download though.
