What is the Internet? More to the point, what the hell is that?

This election has made us too mad to comment. Well, I do have one comment.

FUCK OFF FLORIDA.

It’s annoying, because it’s all about nit-picking now and changing the rules as they go along. For example, even though I want Bush to win and they would potentially help him, I think it’s right that the absentee ballots that were postmarked late, or were from unregistered voters, should be discounted. We have to play by the rules, of course. But in that case, stop this shit with the unpunched ballots - if they weren’t properly punched, don’t count them. Simple.

I said two weeks ago that Gore would win via bullying and legal wrangling. Unfortunately, I think my prediction will be accurate.

Well, not posting much recently. This is not because we have nothing to talk about, but rather the thing we have to talk about takes up all our time.

See, we’re moving. To Washington. The state.

It is fairly sudden - while we had always planned to move north, we were thinking several years from now. It’s an awkward time at work too, and if I could hold off moving for a while, I would. But the cost of living here in Silicon Valley has shot up so much over the past year, and specifically our rent has doubled in the last 2 months, we just have to do it now. I’m lucky enough to not have to leave my current job, and I’ll be working from home again, as I did for three years.

Why WA? Well, we like the area itself and it seems friendlier to homeschooling than CA has become. Biggest downside is that we’ll have to pay sales tax on our Amazon orders now.

Look, I went a whole post without saying “fuck”.

As a developer of graphics software, I have to agree with this short essay.
