So, do you think Hillary

So, do you think Hillary Clinton will win a New York Senate seat? I doubt it. If and when she loses, however, she can take solace in the fact that she’s won a Grammy and Jimi Hendrix never did. Or the Grateful Dead. Or Led Zeppelin. Or the Beach Boys. Eh, but who cares.

For years, the Big Two

For years, the Big
Two have been bombarding TV with commercials. Is this such a big market? I mean, when was the last time you made a collect call? (Reversed the charges for you UK folk). And why are they making it into a lifestyle choice? Are collect calls so hip with the kids?

In this protective-helmet wearing, dumbed-down,

In this protective-helmet wearing, dumbed-down, Crystal Lite society we call America, people with little or no discernable talent or skill are routinely rewarded with fame and fortune beyond their dim little dreams. A perfect example of the glorification of the mediocre and utterly trite is Rosie O’Donnell and her eponymous flake-fest “talk show”. I will be writing an essay in the next few days about my deep and personal hatred for Rosie and her ilk, but Devin D. O’Leary has already written something that is no doubt funnier and more to the point than what I’ll churn out. So, read this to get you started, and then check back for one of my typically pointless and delusional outbursts.

So I gave Diablo II

So I gave Diablo II another chance. I’m one of the 100k picked to stress-test the server, and to be honest the first time I ran it, I was underwhelmed. “Not bad, but not much more than Diablo” I thought.

Well, I put a couple of hours into it, and I have to say it’s pretty fun, even though the stress-test is limited to one character type, the barbarian - which is dull in any RPG.
I think that if you liked Diablo, you’re really going to like Diablo II - lot more depth, but not still basic enough for casual play.

Whenever I feel burnt out

Whenever I feel burnt out on 3D graphics, I head over to binkydognose. Because binky’s art is always refreshing, with textures that just seem so.. touchable.

I really should be asleep

I really should be asleep by now, but I’m in that “too tired to be tired” mode. It doesn’t help that it’s stiflingly hot in the apartment (or maybe it’s that my body temp. is increased due to fatigue? How does that work anyway? And why do your fingernails feel like they’ve grown more rapidly if you stay awake all night compared to when you sleep normally? It’s been the same length of time, after all..) or that I’m hungry-for-something-but-I-don’t-know-what.

Do you really need to use </p>?

Maybe I should stop swearing in blog entries. Sam can read really well now for a 4-year-old, and while it’s not like he’s unsupervised and reading the smack! when he uses the PC, I can just imagine him sounding out “stoopid fooking kyoo.. kwuhicktime” as he wanders by me.

Maybe I’ll get fancy and add a NaughtyWordRemoverIzer(tm) instead.

Maybe Sam needs his own blog.
