In this protective-helmet wearing, dumbed-down, Crystal Lite society we call America, people with little or no discernable talent or skill are routinely rewarded with fame and fortune beyond their dim little dreams. A perfect example of the glorification of the mediocre and utterly trite is Rosie O’Donnell and her eponymous flake-fest “talk show”. I will be writing an essay in the next few days about my deep and personal hatred for Rosie and her ilk, but Devin D. O’Leary has already written something that is no doubt funnier and more to the point than what I’ll churn out. So, read this to get you started, and then check back for one of my typically pointless and delusional outbursts.
